FOR QUICK & EASY INSTALLATION OF: REQUEST-A-FILE
================================================
-> Move the FLREQVxx.EXE file into the directory you plan to run
REQUEST-A-FILE from: ie. C:\DOORS\REQUEST.
-> Change to that directory and run the self-extracting executable. The
archive will then be uncompressed. Ensure ALL of the files have the AV
STAMP on them from Lounge Software. If not, you can call Zippy's Lounge
BBS at (403)475-8703 or if you are a member of FIDO, you can FREQ the
magic name REQUEST at 1:342/1020.
-> Once you've ensured all of the files are original, type INSTFILE and
answer the configuration questions.
-> Create a .BAT file to run the door from your BBS. Included here is a
sample .BAT file to run REQUEST-A-FILE on a WILDCAT system.
DOOR10.BAT
==========
cd\doors\request <- Call to directory
filereq filereq.cfg <- Command line to start door
cd\wc40 <- Call back to BBS directory
If you are unsure about setting up a door with your particular BBS
software, please consult your BBS documentation.
-> Add RAFMAINT.EXE in your nightly maintenance .BAT file. This MUST be run
every night in order for the amount of days to keep requests and user
mail to be calculated properly and deleted if needed.
-> Log onto your BBS and try REQUEST-A-FILE or type LOCAL even before
installing to run REQUEST-A-FILE in LOCAL MODE.
Please read FILEREQ.DOC for FULL INSTALLATION instructions and information!
ENJOY! And don't forget to register!
